EDU 4351 Reciprocal Relationship of Reading and Writing Processes

Explores the historical, theoretical, and practical foundations of language and literacy development, with a focus on writing instruction for diverse learners. Topics include language structures, cognitive demands, and connections among oral and written language, reading, spelling, and the recursive writing process. Research -based practices in assessment and specialized instruction are applied, alongside exploration of state standards and analysis of learning disabilities. Fieldwork focuses on differentiated instruction, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and curriculum-based intervention planning.
