EDU 2551 Apprenticeship Culturally Responsive Education

Explores the foundations of culturally responsive education. Topics include the importance of developing cultural competence, equity and inclusion in education, inclusive curriculum, culturally responsive pedagogy and assessment, and building positive relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds. The course emphasizes the importance of creating culturally affirming learning environments that value diverse backgrounds and addresses the impact of bias and stereotypes on learning.
