Elementary Education, B.A.S.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education trains students to teach grades K-6. It covers child growth, teaching methods, and psychology with real classroom practice. Students learn reading, math, science, and social studies, and how to teach children with different needs. They also learn classroom management and lesson planning. Graduates can become certified teachers.

Please Note:  The Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education degree pathway is designed for students who are registered apprentices in a Colorado Registered Teacher Degree Apprenticeship Program. Students must be employed by a participating school district, BOCES, or charter school.
