Mechanical Engineering, AES
Program is designed for students transferring to the University of Colorado Boulder or Colorado State University to complete their BS degree in mechanical engineering. It allows them to complete the first 2 years of the degree prior to transferring. Engineering is the application of science and math to solve problems, and engineers figure out how things work and find practical uses for scientific discoveries. Careers in mechanical engineering range from the design of powered machines such as generators, engines, turbines and refrigeration and cooling system, to the analysis and maintenance of mechanical systems. This Associate of Engineering Science, Mechanical degree program introduces students to calculus, physics, and both traditional and project-based engineering courses. The degree allows students to transfer to a four-year mechanical engineering program to complete the remaining portion of a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or to directly enter the workforce upon completion.
