Drop for No-Show
Although it is ultimately the responsibility of a student to drop a class that they do not plan to attend, CCA faculty members may report students who have not attended or submitted course assignments (exams, discussions, assignments, etc.) as a "No Show" which will cause the student to be dropped from the class for the semester. To avoid being dropped, please plan to attend the early sessions of your class(es) and ensure that you meet all assignment deadlines. Contacting your instructor prior to the drop with refund deadline (census), is not valid attendance/participation. If you were dropped for no-show or non-participation, you will not be permitted to reenroll in that course and will be referred to accelerated or late start course options, if available
In-Person courses: You must attend at least one in-person session of your course, prior to the drop with refund deadline. Submitting an assignment online is not considered attendance for in-person courses. Failure to attend may result in being reported as a no-show and dropped from the course.
Online courses: You must submit a content-based course assignment prior to the drop with refund deadline. Course introductions or logging into the online course, is not considered participation. Failure to submit the required content-based course assignment, may result in being reported as a no-show and dropped from the course.
Remote courses: Participation in a virtual classroom session is required prior to the drop with refund deadline. Class introductions or logging into the course online, is not considered participation. Failure to attend a virtual session, prior to the drop with refund deadline, may result in being reported as a no-show and dropped from the course.
Hybrid courses: Students must participate in course as determined by your instructor. Please refer to the course syllabus for your course for your courses attendance/participation requirements.
