Explores a number of events, peoples, groups, ideas, institutions, and trends that have shaped Western Civilization from 1650 to the present. Reflects the multiple perspectives of gender, class, religion, and ethnic groups. Focuses on developing, practicing, and strengthening the skills historians use while constructing knowledge in this discipline. This is a stand-alone course; HIS 101 is not a prerequisite.
